A HISTORY OF SERVICE in AKRON, OHIO

Attorney Blaise Meeker and his family have a rich history of practicing law in Akron and Northeast Ohio. Beginning with his great great great grandfather, Sidney Edgerton, who began practicing law in Akron in 1846. and throughout his career represented John Brown at Harpers Ferry, served in The United States Congress and was later appointed by President Abraham Lincoln, as the first Chief Justice of the Idaho Territory and the first Governor of the State of Montana, before returning back home to practice law for the remainder of his career. The legacy continued with Attorney Meeker’s father, Robert Meeker. who has been advocating for the citizens of Akron for over five decades at Blakemore, Meeker & Bowler, where Blaise Meeker worked side by side with him, learning the family craft. Meeker Legal carries on the Meeker name in the legal community for years to come.
